Street photography is classically a monochrome enterprise, but that’s always going to be challenged in an environment where light, mood and moment are so defined by colour. These are some shots taken whilst wandering around the Amalfi coast last summer with family. There was no intention behind these pictures, or any specific project or task underpinning the choice of what to photograph, rather I had a camera and felt there was just too much going on to miss out.

We also called in at Raffaele Celantano’s gallery, which was showing his remarkable collection – ‘The Italians’. He very generously allowed us to use his terrace to watch a fireworks display over the Bay of Naples, whilst he simultaneously watched FC Napoli beat AC Milan on his phone!
